Conway, Arkansas (March 7, 2025) – As the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) prepares for their season opener this weekend at the Boothill Speedway, it will also bring about a change in series leadership. Longtime Lucas Oil MLRA Series Director Ernie Leftwich has been tabbed for the same role with the CCSDS, as he looks to lead the series into their 19th season of Dirt Late Model Racing.

With the closing of the Missouri based MLRA last November, Leftwich had transitioned into the role of Assistant General Manager of Lucas Oil Speedway since January of this year, before resigning to accept his new position with CCSDS. “I’m a Late Model guy”, commented Leftwich. “I was fortunate to be given an opportunity years ago to work for Cowboy and Harriett Chancellor when they owned MLRA and then transition into a larger role with the series when it was purchased by Lucas Oil.”

The 47-year-old Leftwich will handle the day-to-day operations of the series along with serving as Series Race Director during their aggressive 36 race schedule that awaits drivers, teams, and fans alike. In addition, he will oversee the series technical side, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position.

“I enjoy getting to work with the teams, promotors, sponsors and everybody that it takes to make a series be successful. And now with the opportunity to be able to continue doing that same type of work I’m beyond excited and look forward to making the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series one of the best regional touring series for Late Models in the country.”

Joining Leftwich behind the scenes will be former MLRA Administrative Manager Missy Holman, who brings years of experience and industry knowledge with her to the CCSDS. She assumed her new role with the series in early February and has been hard at work since in preparation for the upcoming season. Holman will facilitate much of the work behind the scenes during the week, while also operating the MRP timing and scoring during series events.
