COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Three-Race Holiday Weekend Swing

This weekend – August 30-September 1 – will find the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil sanctioning a trio of $3,000-to-win events in Arkansas and Mississippi.

The weekend swing opens on Friday night at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) before invading Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Saturday night. The three-day run draws to a close on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi).

“This is a really exciting weekend for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series. We’ll be racing at three, totally different tracks with a lot of talented drivers trying to score wins,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “Our series’ staff look forward to seeing a lot of fans and racers over the course of this Labor Day weekend stretch.”

Rolling into the weekend, Lebanon, Missouri’s Tony Jackson Jr. is the current Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man atop the CCSDS standings. Kyle Beard and Timothy Culp are separated by a single point in their battle for the second position. Brian Rickman, B.J. Robinson, Hunter Rasdon, Morgan Bagley, Scott Crigler, David Payne and Jon Mitchell complete the current Top 10 in the standings.

Crigler continues to hold a dominant lead in the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year standings over Charlie Cole and Chad Mallett.

Action kicks off on Friday night, August 30 at Trent Francis’ Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) with a $3,000-To-Win/ $400-To-Start event. Also, in action will be the MSCA 305 Sprint Cars, Street Stocks and Cruisers. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (ages 6-12) $10 and children (ages 5-and-under) free. Pit admission is $30. On Saturday, August 31 the action slides south to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for another $3,000-To-Win/ $400-To-Start event. Durrence Layne Crate Late Models, Durrence Layne Late Model Sportsman, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Hot Shots will all be part of the card as well. The pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. and hot laps at 7:00 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with senior citizens & military $16, while kids (ages 7-12) are $10 and children (ages 6-and-under) free. The three-race swing draws to a close on Sunday night, September 1 at Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). Co-headlining the night’s racing action will be Durrence Layne Crate Late Models, Durrence Layne Late Model Sportsman, Durrence Layne Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks. Pits open at 3:00 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and hot laps at 7:00 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with kids (ages 10-and-under) free. Pit admission is $35.
