COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Rockabilly 45 this Saturday at I-30 Speedway

By Ben Shelton (Conway, AR) -- The stars and cars of the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series thunder into I-30 Speedway this Saturday, June 15 for the ninth annual Rockabilly 45.

It will mark the first time that the series has held events in over two months after Mother Nature wreaked havoc with the schedule in April, May and early June.

With three events completed in 2019, Billy Moyer leads the way in the CCSDS standings. However, since Moyer isn’t a paid series member, second-place runner Tony Jackson Jr. is currently the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man point leader for the series entering this weekend’s events. Kyle Beard, B.J. Robinson, Hunter Rasdon, Morgan Bagley, Scott Crigler, Gavin Landers, Timothy Culp, Brian Rickman, Charlie Cole, David Payne and Sawyer Crigler, Robert Baker, Chad Mallett, and Jon Mitchell round out the latest standings.

Scott Crigler enters the upcoming weekend as the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year point leader. Charlie Cole and Chad Mallett round out the point’s battle.

On Saturday, June 15 the ninth annual Rockabilly 45 comes to life at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) with a $5,000 winner’s check up for grabs. Former winners of the event include Jesse Stovall, Tony Jackson Jr., Billy Moyer and Jack Sullivan.

IMCA Modifieds will battle in a $1,500-to-win/ $200-to-start program for the Scrapp Fox Memorial. Bumper-To-Bumper Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Mod Lights and Powder Puffs are also on the card for the night.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. and racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $15 with kids (ages 6-12) $1 when accompanied by an adult. The first $200 kids through the grandstand are free courtesy of Central Arkansas Pest Services and Big Show Productions.

Pit passes are $30.

The tire rule for the event is Hoosier 1350 on all four corners with an LM40 right-rear option.
